2019 Citizen Satisfaction Index System Utilization Conference

CONGRATULATIONS, LGU TUBO for having a HIGH (95.33%) overall satisfaction rating on basic services!
DILG Abra, headed by Millicent Bamba Cariño, conducted the Citizen Satisfaction Index System (CSIS) Utilization Conference which was an avenue for the presentation and discussion of the survey results done by the CSIS Project Management Team led by Prof. Rynheart Atmosfera of Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology (ASIST) – the Department’s partner learning resource institute (LRI).
CSIS is a set of data tools designed to gather citizens’ feedback on local government unit’s performance on service delivery and the citizens’ general satisfaction. It employs a set of quantitative research method to ensure that each citizen will have relatively equal probability to be selected as a respondent to give feedback regardless of socio-economic background and geographic proximity to government presence.
There were a total of 150 respondents in the 10 barangays of Tubo for the survey conducted last May-June 2019. The survey included the citizen’s awareness on the services delivered by the LGU, availment of such services, satisfaction on the availed service and if there is a need for action. It covers 7 service areas namely: Health, Social Welfare, Support to Education, Economic and Investment promotion, Public Works and Infrastructure, Environmental Management, and Governance and Response.
The officials and functionaries of the LGU and representatives from various national government agencies and civil society organizations attended the Utilization Conference and formulated the Citizen-driven Priority Action Plan (CPAP) which was facilitated by LGOO V Florinda Garcia, CSIS Regional Focal Person of DILG CAR.
The CPAP aims to determine strategies and interventions on how to address the service delivery gaps of the LGU based from the results. The participants committed to support these interventions for the improvement of delivery of services in the LGU.
